Overview

 Customers are facing issues with the camera orientation on the new iPhone 17. During autocapture, the image is rotated 90 degrees. 

Symptoms

When using the iOS DOT SDK, the camera rotates through 90 degrees. This only happens on the iPhone 17.

Environment

iPhone 17, iOS DOT SDK 

Root Cause

The new iPhones have different camera sensor parameters, which cause the SDK to incorrectly assume the rotation. 

Resolution 

Bug fixed in DOT iOS SDK 8.15.2+
