DPI setting affects only extraction, not identification (1:N match) nor verification (1:1 match). Extracted fingerprint templates remember the DPI setting used during extraction, i.e. search is DPI-independent. DPI setting should be set to correct value before extraction. Fingerprint template extraction is done during execution of IEngine_AddFingerprint method (in .NET during creation of Fingerprint object).
