The IDKit threshold is meant for verification and identification.
During the fingerprint capture phase (fingerprint template extraction) itself the threshold is useless and its value has no influence, however there may be subsequent use cases where verification and identification threshold is useful:
- prevent person from enrolling single fingerprint twice (verification of fingerprint against already captured fingerprints)
- check if the currently enrolled person was already enrolled in the past (identification against database of enrolled persons)
- check the currently enrolled person against a blacklist of persons (e..g, prevent an operator to enroll his own fingerprints by mistake).
Has IDKit threshold any role in enrollment or it's related just to verification and identification? Print
