In ABIS configuration file:
[test@biouatest1 log]$ cat /etc/ld.so.conf.d/eafis60.conf
/opt/innovatrics/eafis60/natives
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.252.b09-2.el7_8.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/server
on the server:
[test@biouatest1 log]$ sudo ls -ltr /usr/lib/jvm/
drwxr-xr-x. 3 root root 16 Apr 11  2018 java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.161-2.b14.el7.x86_64
drwxr-xr-x. 3 root root 16 Apr 21  2021 java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.292.b10-1.el7_9.x86_64
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 51 Sep 20 05:50 jre-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.292.b10-1.el7_9.x86_64 -> java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.292.b10-1.el7_9.x86_64/jre
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 21 Sep 20 05:57 jre -> /etc/alternatives/jre
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 29 Sep 20 05:57 jre-openjdk -> /etc/alternatives/jre_openjdk
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 27 Sep 20 05:57 jre-1.8.0 -> /etc/alternatives/jre_1.8.0
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 35 Sep 20 05:57 jre-1.8.0-openjdk -> /etc/alternatives/jre_1.8.0_openjdk

So the link in the /etc/ld.so.conf.d/eafis60.conf was needed to be changed to point to correct (updated) java.

I changed it to:
/etc/alternatives/jre/lib/amd64/server
and did:
sudo ldconfig
and AFIS restart
